FCS was named Portland’s top manufacturing company of 2019 (51-100 employee category) at the Portland Business Journal Makers and Manufacturers Awards.  The award ceremony took place at the Sentinel hotel, where FCS President Travis Wood praised the hard work and dedication of all employees.  “We have great people working at our facility; people who have the desire to improve processes and make us better in all facets,” said Wood.  “Their dedication is the reason we’re here today.”

Franklin Control Systems’ commitment to innovation has been recognized several times recently, including an R&D 100 award in 2018 for the development of the Q-Link VFD.  Forward thinking approaches apply not only in product development, but manufacturing processes and safety protocol as well.  The latter resulted in a recent stretch of 430 days without a recordable incident, a record among Franklin Electric facilities.
